Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening held for Synergy Salon and Spa.

{SCRANTON, PA} The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to announce that on October 14th, 2016, Synergy Salon and Spa its doors in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The salon is owned and operated by long time area hair stylist Maria Fofi.

When Maria was asked why she finally made the decision to open her own salon, she responded, “Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but the timing never seemed right.” “Finally I felt it was time to take the leap into becoming an entrepreneur.”

“I feel Synergy Salon and Spa is something I can put my own stamp on while providing our customers a unique relaxing experience that allows them to take a deep a breath and escape their hectic lives for awhile,“ said Fofi.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the 3 West Olive Street salon, was attended by friends and family of Ms. Fofi. Also in attendance were City of Scranton Mayor Bill Courtright; Congressman Matt Cartwright, Attorney Marion Munley, and State Representative Marty Flynn.
