The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is proud to announce the establishment of another new small business, Jive Jerky, a retail store on South Main Street in Moscow.  Jive Jerky specializes in hand-cut, premium jerky, fruit leathers, dried fruit, sausages, and other food products. Customers can also the watch staff make jerky when they visit the store.

“When you buy jerky at a gas station or other stores, who knows how long it’s been sitting around,” said Jive Jerky owner, Tim O’Grady. “Everything in our store is fresh, hand cut, and has been on the shelf for 72 hours at most.”

“We are excited to see an increase in unique food businesses in Northeastern Pennsylvania,” said Lisa Hall Zielinski, director of The University of Scranton SBDC. “Jive Jerky has been so popular, they can barely keep product on the shelves.”

Jive Jerky held a grand opening and ribbon cutting  on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
