New Business Alert – Morning Glory Café – Scranton, PA

morningglorycafe

The University Of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to announce the opening of another local business, Morning Glory Café, in downtown Scranton. The SBDC was able to assist Katie Trott and Chelsea Collins as they were planning to open their business.  They worked with them by providing start-up information, business plan guidance, specialty food business regulations, and funding sources.

Morning Glory Café specializes in organic coffee, espresso, lunch fair and baked goods. The owners share a love of coffee, good food and eco-friendly living.  They are located in the former Manhattan Room of the Hotel Jermyn. They share space with The Vintage Theater, an all-age art venue.

They will be hosting their grand opening this Saturday, March 2, 2013. They invite the public to enjoy free coffee tastings, a lecture on organic and free trade farming practices   and a demonstration on cold brewing coffee.

They are located in downtown Scranton at 326 Spruce Street. Their hours of operation are Monday-Wednesday 3:00pm-10:00pm, Thursday-Saturday 10:00am-10:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-8:00pm.
