New Business Alert – Creative Crayons Child Care Center – Hallstead, PA

Sara Conklin, owner, Creative Crayons Child Care Center, located in Hallstead, PA.

The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center is proud to announce the opening of another business, Creative Crayons Child Care Center, located in Hallstead, PA.  The SBDC was able to assist owner Sara Conklin with the preparation of her business plan as well as financial projections. Sara used that information to secure financing through Northern Tier Regional Planning & Development Commission located in Towanda, PA. With her doors now open, she has a staff of 3 caring for young children.

In 2011, Sara was employed by a daycare in Hallstead ravaged by the flooding. The daycare closed and Sara, rather than simply collecting unemployment, went out and started her own daycare. She’s a strong woman who is an excellent role model for the children in her care.

Congratulations, Sara!!!
